Beautiful Serving Bowls by East Devon Potter Matt Calder.
All Matt’s stoneware and fired in an electric / oxidation atmosphere, to 1235c.
Matt uses his own glaze recipes which often use salt, soda and / or wood ash, to give the exteriors of work a soft burnt-like texture - aiming for an earthy, natural and calming finish.
Matt likes his work to be perfect pieces to use on display - as well as for practical use.
These bowls have handles and beautiful detailing on the base. They look stunning on a table full of food, fruit or just on it’s own.
