Stained Glass Swifts
Hand painted Stained Glass inspired by Nature. By Karen Scrase.
Inspired by returning Swifts to Karens Bristol home.
Hand painted details fired on in the kiln over carefully selected colours of glass to capture the wide open skies, finished off with hand cut lead, soldered and cemented.
Size approximately 28×14cms
‘In my artwork, I try to explore these ideas, capture the beauty of nature & moments experienced in nature and how it makes us feel through the use of glass paint, light and colour. Nature has a powerful effect on us, I believe that by spending time in nature, we can find inspiration and come to find our place in the world: to appreciate the interconnectedness of life and to take care of the Earth for future generations.’
